Magna Carta in f[olio] : wherunto is added more statuts than euer was imprynted in any one boke before this tyme ... London: Robert Redman, 1539. Beale S8; STC 9273
Probably the most beautiful of the 16th-century printings of Magna Carta, this edition features a title page, almanac, calendar, and index printed in striking red and black.
Although there are no clear ownership marks, the copy includes handwritten notes—in perhaps three different hands—on several blank leaves.
The volume was acquired in 1932.
