My Dear Mr. Salt -
Over here, we are in the midst of a wild crusade against meat-eating. As usual, the impelling motive is a selfish one — the desire to save a few cents. A small permanent stream of good may possibly flow from the agitation. How primitive. How sad. In one
sense, how contemptible.
Mrs. Moore is going to Florida in a few days to be gone a month or two. She has grieved so about her sister that it seemed best for her to have her attention taken up by an entirely new environment.
