21 June
My dear Clarence:
Your kind favor of the 20th instant received.
We surely are very glad to balance the account
this day as you suggest. You see this thing has
gone thru the mill in the regulation way and I
was not personally aware that there was any charge
against you on our books, otherwise it would have
been cleaned off before this, as I consider myself
under obligations to you for various favors. So
thank you very much for calling my attention to
the matter. With Love and Blessings, ever,
Your sincere,
Elbert Hubbard
