July 30
My Dear Dutton -
Sure I will go to Iowa City if you want me and you think your bunch will stand for me. I know that they are a pretty good crowd. I would rather teach on crime and treat capital punishment as a part of a broader subject about as I did in Erie. Would that do? I note what you say about the movie. I am afraid that I haven't the necessary sex appeal to even hope that I might be a part of the cast with the lady you mentioned. It will be good to see you once more. As soon as you know the date, please let me know.
Your friend,
Clarence Darrow
