Clarence Darrow to Paul Darrow, March 8, 1913
Darrow tells his son Paul that when the jury in his second bribery trial became deadlocked and the judge discharged them, their final vote had been 8 to 4 for acquittal. But in his book, "The People v. Clarence Darrow," Geoffrey Cowan states that the jury was divided 8 to 4 for conviction.
