Dear Dick
I was to reduce the mortgage on Vancouver [Ar?] house to $2500, but some way the papers were not delivered on time to get the loan through, so I paid $1000, on the loan leaving it at $3000,

with interest now at .05½% and I enclose $500, which you can give to Jessie on her return. This she can take so as to be sure to have enough if the office does not produce as I expect, & then we can fix up the loan on the house on our return.
