2001 Expansion

In 1999, architect Leonard Parker was again invited to design an important addition to the Law School Building. The construction of a new addition provided space for new legal research centers and institutes, offices for student organizations and faculty, conference and seminar rooms, a café, and a facility to house the Law Library’s rare books collection and archives. Guided by Dean Sullivan, and with a capital campaign chaired by Elliot Kaplan (’61), 42,000 square feet of space was added to the existing building, promoting the Law School’s goal of advancing and uniting doctrine, skills and practice in an environment suited for the 21st century.
